About Wearshopping
Good clothes start with honest cloth and fair work
We design a small range, choose fabrics for how they wear over years, and tell you exactly what goes into each garment.
Fabric integrity
A garment is only as good as its cloth. We specify fabric by weight, fibre and construction, and we reject swatches that pill, twist or fade in testing.
GSM published, not hidden
From 130 GSM oxford to 400 GSM denim and fleece, the weight is on every product page.
Composition you can read
Natural fibres such as cotton, linen and merino lead the range. Blends are used only where they improve wear, and are always stated.
Pre-washed and colour tested
Fabrics are washed before cutting to limit shrinkage, and dyed cloth is tested for colour fastness.
Ethical manufacturing
The people who stitch our clothes are part of the product. We work with a small number of partner workshops and visit them so we know how garments are made.
- Fair, on-time wages and fixed working hours at partner workshops.
- Safe, ventilated floors with no forced or underage labour.
- Small production runs to avoid overproduction and unsold stock.
- Cut-room offcuts reused for trims, labels and packaging where possible.
Sourcing, from fibre to finished garment
Every piece follows the same path, so anything that goes wrong can be traced to its source.
Fibre
We choose long-staple cotton, flax linen and fine merino for strength and hand-feel.
Step 1Spinning and weaving
Partner mills knit or weave to our weight and construction targets.
Step 2Cut and sewn
Garments are cut, sewn and washed in small batches at partner workshops.
Step 3Inspect and pack
Each piece is measured and checked, then packed with minimal plastic.
Step 4
Apparel quality you can measure
Before a garment ships, it passes the checks below.
3 checks
Seams, trims, finish
Stitch density, buttons and zips are tested before packing.
